Of all the birds that Whitford Bird Garden houses, Finches are by far the most numerous in the aviary area. However, there are many varieties of other small birds inside the aviary.

Blake has amassed hundreds of birds in his aviary, with dozens of different species, in many bright colours and distinctive calls.

There are finches from many different parts of the world found here, including Gouldians, Cubans, Cordon Bleus and Jacarinis

The aviary also is home to several Grass Parrots, Canaries and Californian & Chinese Quail.
